Martin's future is hanging in the balance after his hearing with the medical board. Dr Heddon arrives to
assess Martin and the surgery, but he makes it clear that he considers it a waste of time. Louisa is
studying for her new career as a counselor, but after a comment by Mel at the nursery, she and Martin
start to discuss the possibility of having another child. Mrs Tishell goes on a date with a man she met at
book club, but after a freak accident, Martin must commandeer a fishing boat and he, Penhale, and Dr
Heddon head to the lighthouse island. While he is treating Mrs Tishell, Dr Heddon falls against bare
wires, is electrocuted, and Martin saves her life. Morwenna feels like Al is not appreciating all of the
help she is providing at the pub, and when he tries to reassure her, he accidentally proposes.
