Martin's GMC report arrives in the mail and it says he is required to pass 3 refresher courses. He thinks
it's a complete waste of time, but Louisa and Ruth try to persuade him that he must take it seriously.
Bert's cousin, Miles, comes into the pub and persuades him to take his goat ice cream to sell to their
patrons, but it doesn't go over well. Louisa finally meets the new school head and isn't impressed by the
changes she has been making. While feeling nostalgic about her time at the school, she's also
concerned that James doesn't seem to be making friends at nursery and suggests to Martin that being
an only child might not be best for him. Morwenna finds out that Al proposed to her by accident, but he
insists he does want to marry her. To Bert's dismay, Al hires Caitlin to work in the pub so he can spend
more time with Morwenna. Martin has to attend to a very ill Miles at his farm, and then has his
phlebotomy course interrupted to rush to the school after the head collapses. Morwenna practices her
CPR on Al and cracks his rib.
