While the Gold Buddha is the one most noticed, in S2 a White Buddha appeared in the Surgery.  It was

Episode 1

The Gold Buddha moved out of the Consulting
Room and into the Living Room for S2 and a
similar sized White Buddha appeared.  For this
series it sat on the top shelf of the cabinet in the
back corner.  It was visible in every episode and
never moved.
.
.
For the Christmas Special filmed
between S2 and S3, the White Buddha
moved over to the mantle to share
space with the Gold Buddha.

Episode 1

For S3 the White Buddha moved over to a
table between the two windows at the back
of the Consulting Room.

Although it remained there for the whole
series, it moved around fairly often, starting
right in the first episode.

Episode 1

In S4 the White Buddha moved out of the
Consulting Room and into the Living Room.  It
sat on top of a large Asian cabinet next to the
front door.

In Episodes 2, 3, 4 & 5 there were no shots of
that area, but it was still in the same place in
Episodes 6 & 7.

Episode 8

It appears that it was already packed up for
Martin's move to London.

It never appeared again, nor did many of
Martin's furnishings after being packed for the
move.  But surprise!  It appeared in Martin &
Louisa's bedroom in S9.

Episode 8
.
Early in Episode 1 when Martin walks back
to his desk after examining Louisa (for her
fainting spell) the White Buddha is sitting
on top of a small wooden cabinet that is
sitting on top of a small wooden table.
.
Later in the episode, when Martin is
talking to Alison, it has moved down to
the tabletop.
.
Episode 2

It was up and down all through this episode.  It
started out down on the table when Martin threw
Mandie out of his office and when he drew
Louisa's blood.
.
Episode 3

Starting in Episode 3 (and continuing for the rest
of the series) they removed the wooden table
with the small wooden cabinet and replaced it
with a wooden cabinet with a small wooden box
on top.

The White Buddha sat on the cabinet top for
Episodes 3, 4, 5 & 6.

Episode 7

Near the beginning of the episode, when
Martin was talking to Mr Elliott, the White
Buddha had moved to atop the small wooden
box.  You could also see it there when he took
the call from Louisa.
.
.
.
.
Louisa's call was about Isobel's eye injury from
the party popper, so she was sent right over to
the Surgery.

There were no shots of that back wall during
Isobel's exam, but as she walked out to the
Waiting Room you could just make out that the
White Buddha had moved back down to the
tabletop.
.
Martin and Roger walked back into the
Consulting Room to talk and there it was
sitting back on the tabletop.
.
But when Mandie was back, as Martin walked
away from the exam table it was back on top of
the cabinet.
.
By the end of the episode when he was doing
Bert's EKG it was back down on the tabletop.

We only saw this area of Martin &
Louisa's bedroom once - in a scene in
Episode 5.  The White Buddha has
reappeared on their dresser.
