Joe & Janice walking

Janice is walking James and Joe runs after her to invite her to his barbecue.  This was filmed just past the spot where
Fore Street turns to the right to head up the hill.  This is the Southwest Coastal Path and there is an entrance to the
rock wall lined path that then runs around the north end of the village along the sea.

Angela Sim's Veterinarian Clinic
.
.
.
The veterinarian clinic where Martin tries to unload Buddy is a place called Fernacre Farmhouse, which is located on
Bodmin Moor.  The house sits right next to Brown Willy, which is the largest hill in Cornwall.  About a year after the
filming, this property was put up for sale, and the sale actually included Brown Willy.  In the sale offering, there was a
picture of a bedroom that matches the room they used for the exam room.  There was some talk (never confirmed) that
the property was purchased by Prince Charles.  On the maps below, the farmhouse itself is circled in red and the rock
on the side of the road where we saw the Veterinary Surgeon slate is circled in yellow.  A friend, Aley Colquhoun,
visited there and took a picture of the actual sign on the rock, which is a "no admission" sign for the farmhouse.  This
gives you an idea of the size of the property.

Penhale stops on the Platt to ask Kelly why she isn't in school.  She doesn't respond and then collapses.

Angela driving into village

Angela is seen driving her van into the village and hits a trash bin as she tries to negotiate the narrow lane.  This was
filmed going down Church Hill.  There is one shot going past some of the cottages near the top of the hill and then
another near the bottom.  She then turns right onto Fore Street at the Slipway Hotel and makes an immediate left down
the slipway to the beach where she parks the van.

Picnic on the beach
.
.
.
Louisa and James meet Martin at his cottage to head to their beach picnic.  They walk through Squeeze Belly Alley, and
turn right onto Dolphin Street.  At Middle Street they turn right and head toward the Platt.  We then pick them up as they
turn from the road in Port Gaverne and down the slipway to the beach there.  On the maps below I circled the spots
where the screenshots were taken.  In the pictures of Port Gaverne beach, the Google Street View car was driving
through there the day they were filming this scene.  You can see a lot of crew members, equipment, and fans all over
the edges of the beach.  You can also see the colorful screen in front of the Police Station.  And the best part -  I have
circled Martin and Caroline (she's wearing her brown puffy coat) standing on the beach talking to crew members.
