Martin and Louisa are driving back to Portwenn after the session with Dr Timoney. We see them driving on New Road approaching the intersection with Fore Street and Back Hill. Although Fore Street is one-way starting there, for the filming they drove the wrong way down Fore Street. We can see a couple of identifiable items, including a red phone box and a couple of distinctive windows on the homes along the road. They then make the left turn (still Fore Street) heading down the hill toward the harbour. We can spot the blue sign on the Takeaway and then see them approach the area that leads into the car park for the school (where they encounter Danny and his colorful school bus). The red circles on the map show the landmarks seen through the car windows. |

Martin and Louisa drive up to the area that is the entrance to the school yard (actually the Old School Hotel car park). Danny's colorfully painted school bus is parked there and Martin is asked to check on a young girl who has gotten her foot caught in a bus seat. |

An area just south of Tresparrett, which is east of Boscastle, was the setting for Danny's camping site for the kids, Bert's camper in the woods, and the wooded area where everyone was searching for Jake. On the map below, the red circle is the spot for the children's campsite and the red square is the wooded spot where Bert's camper was located. I would guess that the wooded river area east or south was the area of the search for Jake. |

Al is driving Louisa home from the campsite and she has him stop at the Platt when she sees Martin walking James up the beach in his pushchair. Martin attempts to make small talk, but, as usual, fails miserably. |

Louisa stops by the beach in the morning to check up on the school children who are having an outing exploring the tide pools. Danny tries chatting her up, but she doesn't seem to want to talk to him and quickly makes an excuse to leave. We see Martin watching from up the hill in front of the Surgery and he is not pleased. |

Martin is walking up Roscarrock Hill and meets Danny walking down. They have a very contentious discussion about Louisa and Martin dismisses him and walks away. This took place in the area with the Chapel Cafe on one side and the public toilets on the other. |

Martin takes Louisa out to dinner as homework from their therapy sessions. The dinner took place in the Camelot Castle Hotel in Tintagel. They have used this hotel and the restaurant several times for filming. |

I was told that this was filmed right next to the campsite area, which is just south of Tresparrett. The wooded area to the south is the River Valency, which is where I think we saw Martin, Louisa, and Danny. The area closer to where Bert's camper was parked is, I believe, just over to the east where there are woods but no river. |

Martin is walking up Dolphin Street and meets Aunt Ruth in front of her house carrying a large box with the cake for James' birthday party. Martin takes the box from her and they continue walking up Dolphin Street, and then turn right to walk up Rose Hill. The last shot we see is as they are approaching the cottage that was used as the Police Station in S2. On the map below, the red line is the route that we witnessed on screen, with red circles in the places seen in the screenshots on this page. The yellow lines are the part of the route we didn't see. It begins at Martin's cottage, through Squeeze Belly Alley, and then starting up Dolphin Street. The rest of the walk (after what we saw on screen) would have taken them up to the top of Rose Hill and then turning left onto Trewetha Lane. The larger yellow circle is the location of the Village Hall, which is where they held the birthday party. |

James Henry's first birthday party was filmed in the Port Isaac Village Hall, which is located on Trewetha Lane. |
